What are "cookies & similar technologies"?

"Cookies" means any storage or access on your device—HTTP cookies, localStorage, SDKs, pixels/tags, tracking links, fingerprinting, and device IDs.

Non-essential technologies require prior, opt-in consent that's freely given, specific, informed, unambiguous—and withdrawal must be as easy as giving consent.

We comply with the ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3), GDPR, and Portugal's Law 41/2004 (as amended).

Cookie Categories & Usage

Strictly necessary (no consent): session/auth, load balancing, security, consent records—only what's needed to provide a feature you request.

Functional (consent unless strictly necessary): e.g., remembering a chosen language.

Analytics (consent): usage and performance. For instance, if we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), tags load only after consent; GA4 does not log or store IP addresses and offers EU regional controls.

Advertising/retargeting (consent, if used): campaign measurement and audience features (blocked until opt-in).

We don't set or read non-essential technologies until you consent in our banner/CMP. First-layer controls include "Accept all" and "Reject all" with equal prominence.

Consent Management

We use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to record, timestamp, and store choices; we re-ask at least every 12 months or earlier if purposes/vendors change.

If you withdraw consent, We stop setting/reading relevant technologies and instruct third parties to do the same where technically feasible.

If We serve Google AdSense/Ad Manager/AdMob, we use a Google-certified CMP integrated with IAB TCF and implement Consent Mode v2; tags default to denied until consent. This is applicable only if ads are showed.

Note (GA4): GA4 does not log/store IP addresses and supports EU regional controls; it still requires consent before loading in the EEA/UK.

Third-party tools & international transfers

Some tools are provided by third parties (analytics, A/B testing, ads). They operate under their own privacy policies. Where these tools transfer data outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or, for eligible US vendors, EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) certification. Specifics appear per vendor in our CMP.
